FEVA followed the yellow brick road to great competition at the 38th Emerald City Classic in Seattle over the Memorial Day weekend, with several of our teams bringing home hardware! We also bid an emotional farewell to our first-ever graduating class of U18 FEVA seniors!!!

Here’s the rundown from oldest to youngest teams:

Most of our FEVA U18 players competed in their final tournament, wearing their FEVA navy and carolina jerseys. The team finished with a terrific 6-2 performance over the 3-day weekend, including winning the Bronze bracket championship match. There were many smiles, hugs, laughs, and tears as Coaches Maren and Kelcie hung Bronze medals around the necks of #1 Emmy Summerford (Lib/DS), #5 Amya Johnson-Rudder (S), #7 Kate Stuart (Lib/DS), #8 Carla Pop (OH), #10 Kayla Harrison (MB), #15 Sienna Connell (MB), #17 Addison Merzlak (OH), #19 Kaydah Lehman (OH), #21 Catie Pedack (OH), #24 Kaija Huckabay (MB), and #30 Sydney Roach (OH/Opp). We’ll miss you seniors, but know that you will forever be a part of the FEVA family!
FEVA’s U17 crew fought their way to the Silver bracket on Day 3 and finished strong with a 7th place finish overall in the U-18 Premier Division.

Our FEVA U16s went undefeated through their first 8 matches in a row in the Premier division, until suffering their first and only loss in the Gold bracket finals on the last day of competition. The team celebrated with a large silver trophy and medals around their necks!

FEVA’s U15 team battled tough competition in the Open Division, earning a spot in the Bronze bracket and finishing 13th overall at the tournament.

Our FEVA U14 girls finished the 3-day tournament with a fantastic 7-1 record in the Open division, taking first place in the Bronze bracket!
There’s no place like home in Seattle for FEVA volleyball!
