The FEVA U17s goal at the start of our season was to have a club season filled with great memories, competitive play, and amazing relationships. Over the course of the past 7 months, we have definitely succeeded in our goal. While we are equally proud of our grit and fight in each match we played, one of our favorite parts of the season was getting to spend time together as a team. From bowling to craft nights to cheering for our other FEVA teams to team dinners to beach days, we built friendships and memories that will last well beyond the season.
As the coaches of the team this season, we could not be more proud of how these players came together and continued to battle adversity each time they stepped on the court, always rising to the occasion–whatever was needed or asked. We hope you learned so much about yourselves; including how strong, powerful, and resilient you are. Your kindness, fun, love of the game, and amazing sportsmanship was contagious to the teams around you and we loved watching you get to build memories with players inside and outside of our program. As most of our players head into their senior year of high school, we can’t wait to cheer them on wherever the road takes them on their journey next.
