In mid-February, FEVA teams escaped the winter rains of the Pacific Northwest for a successful 3-day weekend tournament in Glendale, AZ. Our U14-U17 teams showed their mettle under the desert sun (or under the spotlights in at the Cardinals football stadium) at the Festival Fiesta Classic. Our U14 team put on a stellar performance finishing 3rd in the Bronze (second tier) bracket, giving them a 14th overall finish out of 86 teams. Our U15s came in hot, literally (with their head coach literally running into the gym mid-match on the first day after her plane flight got delayed a day! Go Lindsey!), and earning their way into the Bronze bracket and finishing 21st overall out of 96 teams. The U16 crew brought the heat, finishing 3rd in Bronze and a 15th overall finish out of 96 teams. FEVA’s U17 battled against both U17 and U18 teams in their division taking 3rd place honors in Flight 3 on the final day of competition. All our teams came home to Seattle with a sunnier disposition after a great weekend in the Grand Canyon State. GO FEVA!!
