FEVA’s U15 team came out bright and shiny at the Salt Lake City Showdown National Qualifier during the second weekend of April. After winning their first seven straight matches (dropping only one set) and a phenomenal eight of ten matches overall during the three-day tournament, FEVA finished in 2nd place in the Silver bracket (11th place overall out of 128 teams)!!!!
The girls punched above their weight class, beating great teams from Texas, California, Utah, Alaska, and Arizona to get into the Silver bracket finals. This tremendous effort during ten pool play matches, challenge matches, and brackets resulted in some amazing team statistics, including an impressive 65 aces (with an outstanding 92.8% serving percentage), 200 kills, 19 blocks, a solid 1.80 team passing rating, and an incredible 458 digs!
