What an amazing Power League for the U16 team! We played so hard against each team and were able to go 4-0 and move up into flight two! Our first game against SVA set the tone for the day with a 25-15 and 25-13 two set win over SVA 16-Tom. Sydney M. led the team with 5 aces this match! We then had back-to-back tough matches against SNVF 16 Splash (25-22, 25-14) and Emerald Reign 16 Premier (25-18, 17-25, 15-7).
Our SNVF match was capitalized by two of our middles, Ande A. and Avery C., hitting over 0.400! The third set of the Emerald Reign match highlighted Malia H.’s amazing serving as she went on an 8-point run with 4 aces! To put the cherry on top of an impressive day, we won our crossover match handedly against Ignite 16 Red (25-12, 25-19). Cassidy H. and Malia H. were studs on the outside hitting 0.471 and 0.571 respectively. Throughout the whole day, the team posted a whole 13 blocks and 148 digs!
We are so proud of everyone this weekend for staying aggressive in the face of adversity and not letting up! We are so excited to be moving up to flight two!
