Emma Anderson

Coach Emma is the FEVA U17 co-head coach and is in her second year coaching for FEVA! Prior to joining FEVA, Emma was a head coach at a local club for two seasons. Emma started as a young volleyball player at the age of 11 and grew up playing at many different clubs around the Seattle area. She was a varsity athlete, playing right side and setter, and a team captain at Mount Si High School. Emma played collegiately at Whitman College as a setter for 2 years and was a team captain by her sophomore year. During her junior year, she transitioned into a 6-rotation outside hitter and graduated as a defensive specialist. Her ability to play many different positions allowed her to be a valuable player on the court and a reliable member of her team.

Off the court, Emma graduated with a Biophysics, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology degree in May of 2022 from Whitman College and has a goal to attend medical school. She works as a medical assistant at Evergreen Health in Kirkland and is taking the time between medical school and college to be with her family. Emma’s goal is to become an athletic team orthopedic surgeon and continue her relationship with fellow athletes. She strives to mentor a team that becomes students of the game of volleyball and learns life lessons through teamwork that can be applied to everyday life.
