She was a 3-time All-American, 3-time First Team All National Tourney, and 3-time Conference Player of the Year. Coach Hammer began coaching during high school and over the last 31 years has coached everything from middle school to NCAA Division 1 women’s and men’s programs at WSU. Coach Hammer is passionate about creating a positive and motivational environment for young athletes through this beautiful sport of volleyball, where they can develop strong character, be challenged mentally and physically, and become competitive, hard-working and technically proficient athletes. Volleyball is about teamwork, poise, grit, heart, and having a growth mindset. In her 7th year as Club Director/Coach at FEVA, Coach Hammer directs a program that empowers young female athletes to thrive, learn and achieve their highest goals while forming valuable relationships with their teammates and coaches.

Coach Hammer has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and a Master’s Degree in Molecular/Cellular Biology. She has taught Science, PE and Math in middle school and high school, and Anatomy and Physiology at the college level. FEVA is now her part time/full time job and she loves it!
