Porsha Singh-Howard

Coach Porsha will be coaching for FEVA next season as one of the U15 co-head coaches for the 2026-2027 club season!  We are thrilled to have her join the FEVA family, as she brings extensive playing, coaching and referee knowledge and experience with her.

Porsha was born and raised in central California, where she grew up playing just about every sport imaginable. It didn’t take long for her to discover that volleyball was where her true passion lived and she played two years of collegiate volleyball and served as a captain at Bakersfield College. While she had the opportunity to continue her playing career at a Division III college in Illinois, life had other plans for her – she fell in love, and continued her education at California State University, Bakersfield in the Physical Education & Kinesiology (PEAK) program.

After graduating, Porsha returned to Bakersfield College to assist Head Coach Carl Ferreira for three seasons, an experience that deepened her love for the game and ignited her passion for coaching. Since then, Porsha has coached at the high school and middle school levels, and stays active in the volleyball community as a referee and adult league player.

Since relocating to Washington state, Porsha has worked in the Northshore School District for the past six years, and coached at Canyon Park Middle School for the last five. With over 15 years of coaching experience, Coach Porsha is committed to helping young athletes grow not only in their volleyball skills but also in confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship. You’ll often find her on the court, at a local match, or involved in just about anything volleyball-related.

When Porsha isn’t coaching volleyball, she enjoys spending time with her husband, whom she met in college, her two children, and friends. In her free time, Porsha likes to read, fish, garden and travel to music festivals and sporting events.
