Coach Sherry

Coach Sherry is in her second year with FEVA as a floating practice and tournament coach, supporting all teams and coaches as needed. With over 20 years of competitive volleyball experience, Sherry brings exceptional knowledge and versatility to the court. Sherry played collegiate volleyball at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, where she graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering in 2000. Sherry furthered her education by earning a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from the University of Michigan in 2004 and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Psychology from Harvard University.

Trained as a middle, libero, setter, and right-side hitter, Sherry continues to compete in both indoor and beach volleyball. Sherry is excited to bring her diverse playing experience and coaching expertise to the FEVA family.

Sherry has coached U13-U16 club teams and high school JV programs both in Florida and Washington. Her true passion lies in coaching and mentoring the next generation of women athletes and leaders, helping them build confidence both on and off the court.

When she’s not coaching or playing volleyball, Sherry works full-time as a Safety Engineering Leader at Boeing, with over 24 years of experience in the aerospace industry. Her love for mentoring extends into her professional life, where she leads and develops engineering teams, fostering growth and excellence.

Sherry is also a proud mom to her two children—a 14-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter—who are her biggest supporters and often join her in developing their own volleyball skills.

Claim to Fame: Sherry had the privilege of playing alongside Coach Hammer for several years during their early post-college days. 😊
